Judy Gosper appointed Honorary Ambassador-at-Large

The Oceania Australia Foundation has appointed Mrs Judy Gosper as its Honorary Ambassador-at-Large, a role that will see her carry forward the international work begun by her late husband, Kevan Gosper.
Kevan Gosper was one of Australia's most distinguished figures in world sport — an Olympic silver medallist in the 4x400m relay at the 1956 Melbourne Games, a long-serving IOC Vice-President, and the driving force behind the Foundation's establishment. He dedicated decades of his life to creating opportunities for talented athletes across the Oceania region, a mission that defined much of his legacy in international sport.
Mrs Gosper has been a constant presence in that journey. As Ambassador-at-Large, she is now formally empowered to represent the Foundation in building and maintaining the international relationships and partnerships that sustain its work — with NOCs, sporting bodies, government entities, and donors across Oceania and beyond.
Executive Director Helen McMurray said the appointment was a natural progression. "Judy has been part of this work from the beginning. Her relationships, her understanding of what Kevan set out to build, and her genuine commitment to the athletes of our region make her the right person for this role."
The Oceania Australia Foundation supports elite athlete development across the Pacific, working with National Olympic Committees to provide funding, resources, and pathways to international competition for athletes who might otherwise miss the opportunity to compete at the highest level.
